The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Franklin Iles Smith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Barb: I was Frank's accountant in Barrie for many years. I just received word of his passing and please accept my condolences. Frank was one of the best people I knew. His smile and laugh lit up a room. He was always a pleasure to be around whether it was business or pleasure. I was sorry when you left Barrie and now sad to hear this news.

Condolence: Dear Barbara,

Saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved husband Frank.

Was so nice to reconnect with you both a few short months ago. Now Frank is reunited with our beloved eldest son Garrett on the presence of God and His son Jesus Christ.

Praying for you and your family that God will give you comfort and the peace that passes all understanding.

We send our sincere condolences to your entire family.

Condolence: Dearest Barbara and family, I can still see Frank walking around the restaurant with a smile on his face and a nod to every one of the customers. His laugh was from the heart and made everyone smile. Without Frank's generosity, and compassion, students from Woodbridge Public School would have never had the opportunity to go to camp. Parents enjoyed the Timbits and coffee at the School Council meetings and September's Open House. The community turnout for these functions increased largely due to his participation. The staff enjoyed lunch at TH because Frank recognized them and ensured they were comfortable. The administration enjoyed working with Frank and Barbara for the benefit of the WPS community. Frank was a wonderful person, a good listener and had strong views on every topic. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time. Frank will be missed.
