Obituary for Patrick Chen

Mr. Patrick Chen died unexpectedly at his home in Brampton on Sunday January 6, 2019 at the age of 54.
Patrick was loved by his many family and friends. He will be especially missed by his wife, Shantelle, surviving brothers: Winston, Oliver and Robert; sisters: Gloria and Yvonne, sisters in law: Maureen, Karen, Donna, and Paula; nieces and nephews: Lisa and Jeffery, Wayne, Martynne and Alex, Keisha and Christopher, Tracey, Michelle and Thomas. He is preceded in death by his parents (Mr. Vincent and Mrs. Rhona Chen) and brothers (Fitz and Tony).

Patrick was born on October 21, 1964 in Chapelton Clarendon, Jamaica.
He obtained a degree in Accounting and was working towards his CGA designation. He worked for The Wendy’s Company-Canada for a greater part of his career where he held various positions. He married Shantelle Ramkissoon in August of 1999 and they shared a home in Brampton, Ontario.
Patrick was an avid collector and lover of various types music. He took great interest in reggae legends like Dennis Brown, Bob Marley and Gregory Issacs, taking great care to select and organize his music. He enjoyed listening to his favourite artists on a complex sound system which he curated himself. He was also a loyal fan of West Indies Cricket and enjoyed all sports involving his beloved homeland of Jamaica.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Dialysis Unit at the Brampton Civic Hospital.

Guests will be received following the burial at the Brampton Masonic Hall (955 Clark Blvd, Brampton) http://bramptonmasonic.ca . All are welcome to join the family in the celebration of Patrick’s life.
