It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved wife Rita in her 89th year of life, at Bethell Hospice on January 22, 2019. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Frank Nauss, and her sister Helen Mayhue. She is survived by her loving husband Dr. William V. Johnstone. Rita loved golfing and playing bridge at Brampton Golf Club with her friends and me and also spending winters in Florida and entertaining. I feel greatly privileged to have shared the last 50+ years. Rita will be cremated and the arrangements have been entrusted to Ward Funeral Home - Brampton Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at the Brampton Golf Club at a later date. Donations in Rita's memory may be made to The Bethell Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 75, Inglewood, ON, L7C 3L6 and would be appreciated.

Dear Bill: We are so very sorry to hear of Rita’s passing and we know you will miss her terribly. We remember Rita as being full of life, taking advantage of every opportunity, and having a kind heart and a sense oh humour. We had many good times in the old days at Uplands. Wherever Rita is we’re sure She is still hitting the ball down the centre of the fairways and making lots of birdies. Our condolences to you Bill. Cal and Catherine George
