Alighiero “Alex” Di Matteo

Alex passed away after a long and full life on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Lucia for 62 wonderful years. Loving father of Vivian, Giovina, Anna Maria and her husband Peter, and of Lorena and her husband Robert. Cherished Nonno of Francesco, Alessandra, Andrew, Matthew, Marc-Daniel, Eduardo, Domenic, Eric, Alexander and great grandsons Saverio, Vincenzo, Marco and Matteo. Dear brother of Adua and the late Evo, Nunzio, Leia and Lidia. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum .
