Cherished mother of Donna McCarthy (Robert “Bob”), Richard Kennedy (Pamela “Pam”), Brian Kennedy (Susan “Sue”), David Kennedy (Joanne) and Denise Haunn (Tim). Predeceased by her loving parents the late John “Jack” and Margaret Percy, brother George “Spark” Percy (late Shirley), her son Bernard J. Rollings and daughter-in-law Ruth Rollings. Treasured and adored Nana of Greg McCarthy (Dana), Brad McCarthy (Alanna), Kacey Kennedy Roth (Chris), Patrick Kennedy (Lauren), Meggie Kennedy Zang (Brent), Jennifer Patrick (Andrew), Michele Krisa (Mark), Tracy Rollings, Craig Rollings (Sherry) and Kirk Rollings. Dear Great Nana of Sydney and Declan Krisa, Anneka (predeceased), Abby and Chase Rollings, Lucy Zang, and Leighton Roth. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Jean grew up on Caledonia Avenue and attended St. Clare’s and Western Commerce. She worked as a secretary in the engineering and insurance industries before getting married and starting her family.

She was a resident of Weston for over seven decades and a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Jean enjoyed playing and later watching her various sports. She relished time lakeside at the cottage as well as her annual trip to St. Louis to celebrate American Thanksgiving. Later in life she worked for Sears, making new friends for many travelling adventures.

Jean also enjoyed the company of her furry, family members. Her greatest joy and favourite times though were the large family dinners and get-togethers with friends at #16.

The family is grateful for the care, compassion and support provided by the nurses and PSWs of Weston Gardens Retirement Residence and Kipling Acres Long Term Care Home.
