Obituary for Tyronne SwamiNathan

SWAMINATHAN, Tyronne (1952 - 2019)

Passed away at home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tyronne will be sadly missed by his ever loving wife Cheryl (McBratney), his children Richard (Lindsay), Tony (Tina), Marla (Wade), and John Paul (Susan). His nine grandchildren Camden, Tianna, Mia, Jayden, Bennett, Brooklynn, Mikayla, Griffin and Kylie will forever miss their adoring Papa.

Tyronne was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, but called Canada home for almost 50 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving siblings, Kingsley (Leena), Shiranee (in Australia), Sarojini (Dela), Mohan (Meena), Rohan (Marni), and his many nephews and nieces. Tyronne was predeceased by his parents (Valentine and Phyllis), his brothers, Renton (Flora), and Annesley, and brother-in-law Everett.

Tyronne was a loyal and respected volunteer in the Brampton soccer community for over 35 years, and was the proud recipient of the 35-Year Brampton Service Award. He was a mentor, a coach, a referee, and friend, and will be greatly missed by many in the Brampton community and beyond. Tyronne’s devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him in his journey, and ultimately brought him peace.
