Passed peacefully at home on August 1st, 2019 in his 81st year. Cherished husband of Patricia (nee Taylor) and beloved father to Robert (Jan), Daniel (Sharon), and Ryan (Jennifer).
Born and raised in Toronto, Bill retired in 1998 after 38 years with York Hydro. His retirement afforded him the time for long bike rides by the lake, hundreds of rounds of golf, many meals at the Dundas Street Grille with Pat, and plenty of outings with his much-loved and adored grandchildren (Ben, Jackson, Ally, Thomas, Brandon, Will, Tristan, James and Matthew).
A visitation will be held at Ward’s Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd, M9N 1X7, on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. A private burial will follow. The family would like to thank Dorothy Ley Hospice and Home Instead Agency for their exemplary efforts and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations as expressions of sympathy can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bill’s name.
